The Chair of Real Estate Finance focuses on real estate as an asset class for private and institutional investors. Along with direct investments, we especially examine indirect investments, such as open-end real estate funds, property companies or REITs. Other areas of research and education at the chair are the financing of real estate investments and its securitization.
Melanie Wagner Hauber graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration with focus on real estate industry at the University of Regensburg after a completed apprenticeship as a lawyer’s assistant. Subsequently she completed the Master’s degree programme in Real Estate at the IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School with focus on real estate and regional economics as well as real estate investment and finance. During her studies she worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Real Estate Economics and for the Professorship of Urban Development and gained practical experience at the HypoVereinsbank and the Media-Saturn-Holding. Since November 2010 Melanie Wagner Hauber is research assistant at the Chair of Real Estate Finance at the University of Regensburg.
